After the Fact Data Collection

The right side of the Logging screen is shown below.

The Time checkbox at the top left of this section is very important. If it is checked (the default) the Logging screen will act as a Real Time Activity Timer. If the Time checkbox is unchecked it will give you access to the after the fact time and quantity entry features. When you uncheck the Time checkbox then the:

Start button will be deactivated

bulletStop button will be deactivated
bulletinput box to the right of the Estimated Time prompt will be activated
bulletdrop down box to the right of the Estimated Time prompt will be activated
bulletTiming Status will display the message

Timing Functions are Disabled – Use Estimated Time

The fact that both the Start and the Stop buttons are deactivated precludes real time timing of activities.

Using the Date Drop Down to Set Data Collection Mode

The Time checkbox is ideal if you are doing after the fact data collection on the current date. If you wish to enter data for previous days you can click on the date drop down and select the date you wish to make entries for. The displayed drop down will show the last 30 days.

When you select a date other than the current date the Time checkbox will be deactivated and the screen will behave exactly as if you had unchecked the Time checkbox as explained above. This is because it is obviously not possible to do real time recording on previous days events.

Quantity Only Recording

You can optionally record only quantity values. To do this simply complete the Activity Selection and enter a quantity. The Typical and Other transaction buttons will activate and you can save your transaction. In this case you must be sure and leave the inputs to the right of the Estimated Time prompt set to the default N/A as shown below:

To record times, first select the time units you wish to enter data in by clicking on the drop down to the right of the Estimated Time prompt. Your two choices are to enter time in hours or minutes.  As soon as you make your selection the field immediately to the left will clear ready for your input of the time value. Input the time value.

Next make your Activity Selection and the quantity. As soon as the quantity value is entered the Typical and Other transaction buttons will activate and you can save your transaction.

Repeat for all the transaction you wish to enter.
