What is it Like Using Profit Profiler

To go directly to a measurement technique you can select from:

Activity Sampling – two main screens plus one support screen for auto recording.

Activity Logging – everything is performed on one screen.

Activity Tracking - everything is performed on one screen.

User Training Environment – usable within one week of project start date.

Logging Onto Profit Profiler

Regardless of whether you are doing an Activity Sampling or Activity Logging project you will first receive a Sign On screen.

The Sign On screen itself will be accessed via a link from the desktop or from an email whichever is easier for you. Your company name will be displayed at the top and the name of the project is listed immediately below the Sign On area.

At this point you will enter the Project Sign On ID with which you have been provided and click the Submit button.  If you enter an invalid ID you will be advised to close you Internet Explorer session and try again.

If you enter a valid Sign On ID two additional checks are made before the project is loaded. These checks are as follows:

  1. Is today’s date within the date range defined by the administrator during which data collection for the project will be made?

If the current date is within seven days of the start date set by the Project Administrator then you will be able to access a training version of the software which allows you to use all the functions of Profit Profiler but will not save any activity transactions to the database. Click here to learn more about this ideal User Training Environment.
  1. Is the current time within start time-end time range (if any) defined by the administrator? You are allowed to sign onto a project up to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

If the sign on fails either of thee two checks you will receive a message similar to that shown below.

As advised you will need to close the Profit Profiler browser window (by clicking on the X at the top right) and then click on the link again when you are ready to try again.

If you are accessing the project during the projects defined data collection period, the project will be loaded. Click on the measurement technique you wish to review.
